The Open Door

Don’t see your situation?

The two paths on this site trace the most common shapes of the moment where I work: a services firm changing hands, seen from one side of the table or the other. Common – not exhaustive.

Plenty of inflection points never announce themselves as “preparing to sell” or “stalled acquisition.” A founder mapping succession without a sale. A partnership pulling in two directions. A board that wants an operator’s read before committing real capital. A software company whose services arm drifted from asset to anchor. A sponsor mid-diligence, wanting the operating story pressure-tested before the wire goes out.

Different seats, same table. The toolkit underneath doesn’t change: services economics, buy-side M&A, and the unglamorous operating work that decides what a firm is worth.

So if your situation lives anywhere near that territory, skip the taxonomy and reach out. Twenty minutes tells us both whether I can help. If I can’t, I’ll say so quickly – usually with the name of someone who can.
